Aloe "Royal Claret"

Royal Claret has been named after its flower colour - the deep pinkish red of a young red wine.

It differs from most of the other large cultivars not only as far as the flower colour and aspect of the racemes (slightly slanted) is concerned, but also in that it has gracefully decurving leaves that can even touch the ground. If the plant should eventually develop a stout stem, it will take many years, so for practical purposes it has been classified as stemless.
