...means that, even if an early winter inflorescence gets taken by the cold, the plant will attempt to flower again and again. The plant itself has a stemless habit and could, over time, produce a cluster of shoots from the base. These can be thinned out to leave a small grouping of rosettes that will extend the flowering period of the plant. Out-of-season flowers are very attractive to sunbirds.
