Aloe "Bush Baby Red"

Bush Baby Red is a delicate plant that grows about 35cm tall and bushes vigorously. On a very small scale it resembles a clump of Aloe arborescens.

Its best attribute is that its red flowers are not scaled down like the plant itself, which make for a far superior display than any other plant of comparable size. Each rosette is capable of producing up to 4 inflorescences, and a bushy plant with 20 rosettes is a wonderful sight in full flower. Although the plant is small, it is well capable of looking after itself in open planting. It has an extremely long flower season because the inflorescences follow each other - they do not appear simultaneously. For this reason it has unsurpassed landscaping potential as a border or cluster plant. It creates a stunning effect when planted with 'Bush Baby Yellow'.
