Witkoppen’s second Aloe Weekend of the flower season (28 to 30 July) promises to showcase more than 50 late winter flowering aloes, supplied by Sunbird. Cultivars like the magnificent ‘Giza’ and colourful ‘Hilko’, as well as the record-setting ‘Volcano’ are only 3 of many plants in full flower. Virtually none of the cultivars for sale at Witkoppen were in flower for the Sunbird Aloes Open Day held in June, and the late winter flower display needs to be seen to be believed.Witkoppen Wildflower Nursery is situated near the Randburg Dome.
