This stunning medium to large green plant surprises with long, curved racemes covered in large, blood red flowers from June to August. A mature plant that produces multiple branched inflorescences is an unforgettable sight.
It will take a long time for this plant to produce a short stem and may therefore be classified as stemless. This means that those beautiful flowers are carried at eye level for many years and will therefore remain a focal point near the front (Northern side) of any rockery when it flowers.
Best recorded flowering performance from a single rosette: 3 inflorescences with a total of 6 large racemes.
