Aloe ‘High Rise’ is an extra-large, tall stemmed plant with tall inflorescences and large, two-tone orange racemes, normally from winter to spring. This plant’s flower can deal with the weight of Grey Go-away Birds that can cause havoc in a flowering rockery. These birds prefer the higher perches and this can save less rigid flowers at the lower levels of the planting. Gardeners prefer it for its flowering performance.
This cultivar needs space to develop to its full potential, so container planting is not advisable. Stem shoots should be removed in order that the plant can utilize its resources to grow a taller stem, and flower more prolifically.
