Tall inflorescences with heavy white from pink racemes on tall peduncles characterise this florific little stemless aloe hybrid from late summer to well into the winter months. The racemes tend to bend and droop, creating quite a unique effect. Individual flowers are very delicately coloured.
The plant is a fairly compact rosette of greenish grey leaves with soft spines. It is capable of producing numbers of stem shoots, certainly more than the plant can effectiveliy bring to maturity. Consequently most of these shoots should be removed, leaving perhaps 3 or 4 that can add to the flower display when they are a little larger.
Despite its small size, ‘Pink Pastel’ in full flower is quite beautiful. It should be treated as a container or pot subject.
